About Me
Hello, I’m Eilish McArthur, a graduate from the Glasgow School of Art. Growing up in one of the most underprivileged areas of the west coast of Scotland led me to endeavour to create genuine value in the lives of people facing difficulties. I’m excited by hearing people’s stories and creating compelling narratives which form the backbone of my projects.
Since graduating from Product Design, I have started my own jewellery business, By Eilish, which is mostly digitally driven at the moment. The aim for this business was to make fun, quirky designs to brighten up people’s day during these COVID-19 times. The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I decided to use my business platform to create a collection and social media campaign inspired by the charity CoppaFeel which led to gaining the interest of the charities founder. The aim was to raise awareness amongst young men and women surrounding breast cancer and using the earrings as a talking point amongst us.
